Boola, Boola arranged from a traditional melody by Allan M. Hirsh and arranged for accordion solo by Anthony Galla-Rini.
“Boola, Boola” is Yale University’s historic fight song, composed in 1900 by Allan M. Hirsh with contributions from classmates F. M. Van Wicklen, Albert Marckwald, and James L. Boyce. Its melody was adapted from the earlier 1898 African American vaudeville song “La Hoola Boola” by Bob Cole and Billy Johnson.
