Glazunov’s The Seasons is a full‑length ballet composed in 1899 for the Imperial Russian Ballet. It consists of four tableaux—Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn—each portraying nature through dance and orchestral color.
The Summer tableau contains several sections: Andantino Valse des Bluets et des Pavots (Waltz of the Cornflowers and Poppies) Barcarolle Variation Coda (Allegro Brillante) The Coda is the final, energetic flourish that concludes the Summer scene.
