Originally written for accordion orchestra, this work was revised in 2005 for solo accordion with concert orchestra and recorded by American accordionist, Mary Tokarski, with the Moravian Philharmonic-Czech Republic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAn arrangement for solo accordion with accordion orchestra is also available.\u003cbr\u003eThis arrangement is a revised version of the original for accordion orchestra.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSilvio de Pra was born in Belluno, Northern Italy and began playing the accordion at the age of 10. He arrived in NZ in 1955 and was immediately engaged to broadcast on radio in the evenings and to entertain in cabarets in the weekends. He made music his fulltime profession and established himself as a firm favourite with the public, as accordionist, singer and entertainer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDistribution and difficulty of parts.\u003cbr\u003eAll parts require a competent player as a leader.\u003cbr\u003eThe most difficult parts are Accordion One and Three, then Two.\u003cbr\u003eFour is the rhythm part and requires rhythmical, steady, competent players.\u003cbr\u003eParts Five, Six and Seven have most of the themes and harmony. They are quite easy, technically.\u003cbr\u003ePart Eight is the ‘cello equivalent. This is more difficult than parts Five, Six and Seven.\u003cbr\u003eTwo percussion players are essential.
