Raymond Bodell
BSc(hons), FLCM, LmusLCM, AmusLCM AmusTCL, LBCA(TD), ABCA(TD), LBCA.

Born in 1960, Raymond Bodell commenced playing the accordion at the age of five. He achieved all three Diplomas of the British College of Accordionists by the age of 17 before gaining three Diploma's from the London College of Music and Trinity College of Music.
Raymond successfully competed in many accordion festivals including gaining first prize in the UK Virtuoso, Senior Bell Trophy (17 & Under), and the Junior (15 & Under) solo National titles and has competed internationally in various festivals. He continued his accordion studies in France with Jacques Mornet.
He is former Head of Music at Harrow High School, and an Examiner of the British College of Accordionists. Raymond has extensive adjudicating experience at numerous international festivals including the Baltica Harmonica (St Petersburg), Castelfidardo (Italy), Jeunesse Musicale (Slovakia), International Grand Prix (France and Switzerland), American Accordion Teachers Guild (ATG) Annual Festival as well as on numerous occasions at the Coupe Mondiale (CIA) events.
Raymond, together with his wife Anna are owners of Charnwood Publishing, the largest accordion music publishing house in the UK. In recent years Raymond Bodell has prepared students for many festivals with great success as well as being invited to give numerous masterclasses. He believes strongly that our young accordionists are the future and to this end must be given every opportunity.
In 2004 the National Accordions Association of the UK (NAO) presented him with their Merit Award "In appreciation of the Tireless and Inspirational Work for the accordion both Nationally and Internationally.
In 2009 in New Zealand, Raymond Bodell was elected the President of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) and has been prominent in international events in his role as CIA President to 2017. In 2017 Raymond Bodell was awarded the CIA Merit Award "Recognising outstanding contribution to the international accordion movement."
Raymond has been the Vice-President of the Confédération Mondiale de l'Accordéon (CMA) since 2004 until today.

Anna Bodell
Anna Bodell has been closely involved with accordion activities in the UK for many years with Charnwood Music and also important roles in the BCA and LSM accordion examinations bodies.
Anna Bodell was elected some years ago to the National Accordion Organisation of the United Kingdom (NAO) Executive and in 2010, Anna was elected, Chairman of the NAO.
Anna Bodell was awarded the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) Honoured Friend of the Accordion Award in 2017 in recognition of her significant contribution to the accordion movement within UK and internationally.
Anna Bodell has been the Secretary General of the Confédération Mondiale de l'Accordéon (CMA) from 2006 until today.
