"ALLEGRIA"
is an Italian word which means merriment, enjoyment, happiness,
and this recording captures the feeling perfectly, in music.
Here, PEARL ADRIANO plays a very wide variety of Continental
music - French, Italian, Spanish, Viennese - ranging from
characteristic dances such as Valse Musettes, Polkas, and
Tango, to a Rossini Overture and Strauss Waltz, and even incorporation
together a Tarantella and a Boogie.
The instrument comprises acoustic accordion and electronic
sounds - so really it is two instruments in one. The sounds
she prodeuces are as varied as the types of music, and she
gives each piece her own individual treatment, thereby vreating
an ambience ful of sparkling, rhythmical exuberance.
All this adds up to "ALLEGRIA CONTINENTALE". |
