Leonard Stack
was born in Los Angeles.
He had
a Degree of Bachelor of Music in Composition from U.S.C. He studied
composition with Halsey Stevens, Robert Linn, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco
and Miklos Rosza.
He has
published classical music for various ensembles consisting of: Sonata
for Clarinet and Piano, Ballads #1 and #2 for Flute and Piano, Scherzo
for Sazophone Quartet, and Scherzo for 3 Clarinets and Bass Clarinet
published by Southern Music Company. He has had several performances
of his Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, and his Scherzo for Saxophone
Quartet.
Under his
professional name "Lenny Stack" he has been the Musical
Director for such television programs as: "The Golden Globes
Awards", "The Screen Actor's Guild Awards"' "The
American Music Awards"' "The Daytime Emmys", "TV's
Censored Bloopers", etc. He has also won an Emmy for arranging
for the television special, "Screen Actor's Guild 50th Anniversary
and an Emmy nomination as musical director of the television special,
"Disneyland's 30th Anniversary Celebration."
Lenny Stack
has composed the musical score to the feature film, "C. C. and
Company" as well as movies made for TV. He also written songs
that have been recorded by Diana Ross and Dionne Warwick. His Big
Band Jazz originals have been frequently performed and are published
by Barnhouse Music Publishing. Lenny is a member of ASCAP and the
Television Academy.
