Ma Qi was an accordion major at the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, instructed by Prof. Cao Xiaoqing, international famous accordion player and educator.
Ma Qi has a long list of major international competition successes.
After 2014 there were further successes.
Ma Qi was given an award in 2011 by the China Ministry of Culture for winning great honor to China. Ma Qi in 2013, after strict vetting was selected as a member of "Best of the Best" Talents Plan for the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing.
Ma Qi has actively explored diversified stage practice, successfully made personal solo concerts many times and worked with various groups and ensembles. Ma Qi was invited to the Chamber Music Festival of the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing Youth Arts Festival, Pize Awarding Ceremony of the Golden Bell Award of China and many other important festival concerts plus CCTV, Beijing TV, Hunan TV and others TV stations to record music and be interviewed.
